SUP - Stand Up Paddleboarding

Johnson, Rodrigo and Eli Chuleta

Stand-up-Paddle Boarding is one of the fastest growing water sports in the world. It produces a sensation of walking on water, elevating the paddler for a different perspective and a subtle core-workout as a result of balancing on the board while paddling. Nearby lakes and the mellow sections of the Rio Liucura and the Rio Puesco are absolutely perfect venues for the practice of this sport. We are currently the only SUP guide service in the country – come and try this incredible sport with us! <ESCAPE> offers three options for SUP:

1) The River SUP Trip is your chance to surf the river.  Go with the flow through towering forests and unforgettable vistas of the surrounding volcanoes.  Your guide will teach you how to stand on the board, how to paddle and how to navigate the currents of this outstanding section of river.  Equipment, instruction, transportation and a delicious snack provided. (CH $25.000/pp)

River SUP is for everyone!

3) Quillelhue SUP Lake Tour  – Curarrehue is blessed to have so much clean, fresh water all around. The Lago Quillelhue, 20 km from Curarrehue towards the border of Argentina, is a lake in the Villarica National Park, surrounded by native forest, home to several species of beautiful birds and sits at the base of the magestic Lanin volcano. SUP equipment, instruction, guide, snack and meal provided. (CH $35.000/pp)

Lago Caburgua SUP Rentals – For years Lago Caburgua has been a popluar escape for tourists looking for a nicer beach setting than what can be found on the crowded banks of Lago Villarrica in Pucon.  White sand beaches, clean, crystalline water and its proximity to natural attractions like the Ojos de Caburgua and the Huerquehue National Park create a great venue for relaxation and recreation.
